About Our Chapter |
On January 17, 2016, a meeting with SAR members from several different chapters made a decision to proceed with forming a new chapter.... and named it The Mount Vernon Chapter. |

Education Programs |
The SAR promotes awareness of the American Revolutionary spirit and a sense of patriotism to students in our educational system. Our Chapter supports the Traveling Trunk program, Scouting and the JROTC programs. |
Speakers Bureau |
The Mount Vernon Chapter offers presentations to fellow C.A.R., DAR & SAR Chapters, other genealogical or historical societies, Rotary, Kiwanis, or other community service groups that can utilize speakers. |
Traveling Trunk |
The Mount Vernon Chapter offers "show and tell" presentations to grade school or middle school students that are studying American History. |
Scouting |
The Mount Vernon Chapter supports the Boy Scouts of America through it’s Eagle Scout program. The SAR invites all Eagle Scouts to participate in the Arthur M. & Berdena King Eagle Scout Award program for recognition and scholarships. |
