How Much Does Membership in the SAR Cost?
These are typical yearly cost. Check with our Chapter Registrar for your exact amount.
New member application fees are additional.

Cost Table Notes

Dual Membership from within a Georgia SAR Chapter - When primary membership is with another SAR Chapter in Georgia, only pay $25 per year for a Dual Mount Vernon Chapter membership. No additional National or State fees.

Dual Membership from outside Georgia - When primary membership is with another Chapter outside Georgia, an additional $18 State fee per year is added to the $25 per year for a Dual Mount Vernon Chapter membership. No additional National fees.

Junior applicants must be under 18 years old. No Chapter fees required, only State & National. Plus application fee for new members. (See chart 12.07.1.1 above)

Family Applications are available at reduced application cost when all applicants are within two (2) generations. (Son, Grandson, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Nephew) Please ask when you make application. (See chart 12.07.1.1 above)

Yearly Dues Renewal Process

Note: Yearly SAR dues cover a time period from January 1st thru December 31st.

Renewing Your Dues
Renew SAR Membership Online - Click Here - https://gasocietysar.org/
The online renewal process via the State SAR website each year is available for Mount Vernon members and Dual members. The online payment process is open from July 1st through October 31st each year. Look for the "Member Area" link in the blue banner at the top of the State website page after July 1st. Registration required. Have your National and State SAR numbers available. The process uses credit card or PayPal for transactions and adds a nominal fee. Here is a document that explains the process and additional fee in detail.

Renew SAR Membership by Check
Payment for yearly dues by check is open from July 1st through December 31st each year, and can be made at each chapter meeting. Checks should be made out to 'Mount Vernon Chapter, SAR.' Here is the 2023 SAR/Mt. Vernon Dues Form.PDF that needs to accompany your check. Use the Contact link above to request address information for sending checks by USPS mail.
