North Atlanta High School Cadet Receives the SAR Bronze Medal
Cadet Captain Cer'Kyland Harden was the recipient of the SAR Bronze JROTC medal for 2023 at North Atlanta High School.
Cadet Harden is a senior and the commander of A Company of the Warrior Battalion.
He plans to attend the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega, GA as a member of the Corps of Cadets.
The award was presented at an awards ceremony held at North Atlanta High School in Atlanta, Georgia on April 14, 2023. The award was presented by LTC(Ret) Chuck Olson on behalf of the Mount Vernon Chapter.
The Bronze JROTC Medal was authorized in 1965 and is presented only to students in secondary school JROTC programs. At Army JROTC programs, One cadet from each JROTC battalion is selected by the Senior Army Instructor on the basis of having a high degree of merit with respect to leadership qualities, military bearing and general excellence.
